We have launched a new version of Lens Upstream. You can now analyse, screen, benchmark, and value Upstream data alongside any other sector data you subscribe to, such as Lens Power, Lens Carbon, Lens Hydrogen or Lens Gas & LNG.

You also get the additional benefits of the improved platform, such as the polygon selector in the map – a much-requested feature – as well as multiple asset filtering, additional download options for charts and more.

You will notice some changes to the layout and navigation, which have been designed to reflect the logical steps of your workflows. The map now sits to the right of the dashboards and the menu has been moved to the left-hand side. This will always be visible, either displaying a scrollable list of available dashboards or a collapsed view with icons.

Some additional navigational changes to note are; your account management area and the Wood Mackenzie Help Center are now available in the bottom left of the screen, below the dashboard menu. The Spaces area has also moved from the top left to the top right.

Other improvements to look out for:

  • Improved Emissions dashboard

  • Improved Valuations dashboard

  • Analyst-curated asset insights

  • New filter ability to add multiple asset types

  • Charts

    • New visualisation options

    • Additional download options, including Excel, CSV and PDF

    • Ability to transpose a dataset into different layout to switch rows/headers in timeseries charts

Differences to note

You may have noticed that we haven’t yet switched off the standard version. Until we do, there are a few things you need to be aware of as you work.

1. The standard version is only available for a limited time. We’ve done this to minimize disruption for anyone in the middle of critical work. We recommend that you use the new version so that you don’t lose any work when we do switch off the standard version. Please see our Lens Upstream FAQs for more information.

2. The Summary dashboard in the new version is a bit different to the Summary dashboard in the standard version. The Summary dashboard has a high-level summary with key data. The Assets dashboard has all the charts and data grids you see in the Summary dashboard in the standard version. Please see our Lens Upstream FAQs for more information.

3. You'll temporarily see some changes in Spaces as part of our transition to the new version. Please see our Upstream FAQs for more information.
