By creating a view using the Spaces feature in Lens, users can save any filters and settings (including economic assumptions and valuations) that have been applied to their map. These views are then available to revisit at any time without having to repeat the filtering process all over again.
Below we will take you through how to create a new view:
Once all desired filters and settings have been applied to your Lens dashboard, navigate to the ‘Save’ button at the top of the screen
The ‘Create a new view’ pop up will appear and you will be prompted to give the new view a name and a description. Click ‘Save View’ to add the view to Spaces in Lens.
To open a saved view, click ‘Spaces’ at the top of the screen and select ‘Views’ from the drop-down menu:
A window to the right of the screen will appear showing all saved views available:
N.B. Views can be sorted alphabatically or by date modified.
Using the ellipses button (), users can rename, share, copy, or delete the view. Views can also be shared via the ‘Share’ symbol ().
To return to the default Lens view, select 'Reset to default view' in the Spaces window or 'New View' from the Spaces drop-down menu.
Some notes about Spaces in the new version of Lens Upstream:
Any views previously created or shared were copied over on the day of the launch and will still be available to you in the new version of Lens Upstream (these will be marked by [Copy] in the new version).
The views that were previously created will not update in both versions should you wish to make changes or updates, so we would encourage you to continue working on any saved views in the new version of Lens.
Views that are created or shared using the new version will not be available in the standard version.
We have more information on the Spaces feature in the new version of Lens Upstream available in the FAQs on the new version of Lens Upstream article
