Lock/Unlock User Account

Since release v2018.12 Petrotranz admins now have the ability to lock user accounts should they want to prevent access by the user.

If a user has left your company we recommend deleting their account instead of locking it.

How do I lock a user account?

  1. Navigate to the Administration

  2. Then to the Users section of Petrotranz.

3. Either Right-click on a user or double-click on a user from the list to open the user window.

4. Click the Lock Account option and set a lock message for the user.

5. The next time the user attempts to login, they will be presented that their account has been locked and will need to contact their company admin to unlock this.

How do I Unlock a user account?

  1. Navigate to the Administration

  2. Then to the Users section of Petrotranz.

  3. Look for any user with a lock symbol next to their details

  4. Either right-click and select Unlock Account or doube-click to open their account and select Unlock Account.

  5. Once unlocked this will generate an access link to the user that is only active for 24 hours, this will allow to the user to regain access to their account.
