We can now retrieve live wind, solar and power demand data from the Market Intelligence API.
Follow these steps:
Go to Power.genscape.com and click on Data API on the left.
You will find the landing page after entering in your login credentials.
Go to Power API inventory, located within the tool kit dashboard, and you will see the SID (Sensory ID) numbers for each different report.
In this example, we want to search the Wind Forecast data.
Click on Power API Inventory-An excel file will open with different internal dashboards.
Click on NA MI SIDs for different SIDs.
Copy the code - for example we will copy code for ISO -PJM with SID -7782
Now we need to go to the home page. Click on the API Dashboard and to find the list for different API.
We will click on the North Amercican API.
After clicking on North American Intelligence Tool:
Click on User Defined Search Criteria
Enter the Region-PJM and SID-7782 and run query, and this will automatically pull the most recent data.
You can retrieve the price forecasts with time stamps.
For instance a Forecasted Price of -$24.52 on 23:30 PM on 05/08/2024 is shown below.
