The operational status is the current status of the hydrogen phase or project.

Hydrogen project statuses include:

  • Announced - agreement, LOI, MoU, Phase 2 -X

  • Pre-development - pre-feasibility, business plan, land acquisition

  • Early-development - feasibility studies, basic engineering studies, pre-FEED

  • Development - FEED, funding secured, permitting and regulatory processes ongoing

  • Advanced development - post-FEED, FID imminent, EPC awarded, permits received or in final stages

  • Under construction - FID taken, construction started

  • Operational - operational

  • Inactive - This applies to projects which have not been formally cancelled but on which we understand work to have been halted. Projects are judged individually but common signs of inactivity that we look for are removal of the project from a developer website or company presentations, no project updates or relevant press releases in >2 years, or any other reason to believe that work on the project is halted.

You can view hydrogen projects by operational status under the 'Assets' workflow. Use the settings cog on the top left of the chart to colour by operational status:

Or you can view the operational status in the low carbon hydrogen project list at the bottom of the 'Assets' workflow:

You can filter for projects by development status within the Assets > Hydrogen project > Development menu.
