Q1: How do I register for access to a Wood Mackenzie Private listing in Snowflake?

Contact your account manager with the following snowflake details:

  • Organisation name eg myorg

  • Account name eg accountxyz

  • Provider/ region – eg us-east-1

  • Account identifier – eg myorg.accountxyz

Access to a Private Listing is based on your Wood Mackenzie subscriptions.

Q2: How do I access a Wood Mackenzie Private listing in Snowflake?

When you have registered with Wood Mackenzie for access to a Private listing, Wood Mackenzie will configure the listing to make it available to your company. The Snowflake administrator at your company will then receive an automated email from Snowflake to advise it is ready to be installed in your Snowflake account.
The Snowflake administrator will be able to view the listing in the Snowflake Consumer Hub and select ‘Get’ to access the listing. The administrator will then share the listing.

Possible issues:

  • Administrator did not receive the email – check with your Wood Mackenzie sales account manager / support that the listing has been shared

  • Check Junk email for an email from Snowflake

  • Contact Snowflake

Q3: How do I manage access to a listing?

Once the listing is installed, your Snowflake Administrator can manage who has access to the listing within your company by removing or adding users to the listing.

Note: Wood Mackenzie's entitlement is set at the account level. Access control for individual users within your account is managed by your own Snowflake Administrator, not by Wood Mackenzie. For further details, please contact Snowflake support.

Q4: Data is missing from the listing

Depending on the subscriptions purchased, some data may not be available to you.
Contact your Wood Mackenzie Account Manager to check your subscription or upgrade.

Q5: The quality of the data is not as expected

Contact support@woodmac.com to raise any data quality issues.

Q6: How do I get started with the data in the listing?

The data can be queried in ‘My Workspaces’ using SQL or Python. For more details on using Snowflake, contact your Snowflake Administrator or Snowflake directly.

Q7: What data is currently available in Snowflake, and does it cost extra?

Wood Mackenzie's Trading Analytics data is available through Snowflake – this may not cover the entirety of your company subscriptions.

In most cases access via Snowflake is included at no additional charge for Trading Analytics customers. If you're not currently subscribed, contact your Wood Mackenzie account manager to discuss options.

Q8: I can see the listing, but no data is showing

This is usually caused by a Snowflake edition mismatch – some sharing features require a matching Snowflake edition (e.g. Enterprise) on both sides. If you're on Standard edition, contact Snowflake support to discuss options.

Q9: What data sets are available in the 'Wood Mackenzie Trading Analytics NatGas Data Feed' listing?

This dataset contains the following data sets, access is determined by your existing account subscription.

  • Nominations

  • ALL_CYCLES

  • NO_NOTICE

  • GAS_BURN

  • GAS_QUALITY

  • META DATA Tables

Q10: What data should I see in the ‘Wood Mackenzie Trading Analytics Data’ Listing?

This listing contains a mix of Gas, Power and Oil and Biofuels datasets. Your Wood Mackenzie subscriptions will determine which data sets are available to you.
Please note, the listings are currently being updated and not all datasets are available.
