Why are there two Dispatch Costs shown in the NAPS Tool?

Understanding nominal vs. real terms in dispatch cost displays

The two Dispatch Costs shown in the NAPS Tool represent values displayed in different terms:

  • The top value shows the Dispatch Cost in Nominal Terms.

  • The lower value reflects the Dispatch Cost adjusted to the inflation index selected in the left-hand panel.

When Nominal Terms is selected, both prices will appear the same.
When Real Terms is selected, the two values will differ β€” showing the impact of inflation adjustment on dispatch costs.
