To calculate the utilisation rate of an Aluminium Smelter, you can extract the production and capacity data from the Aluminium Smelter Costs Model and calculate manually. Follow these steps:
In the WoodMac portal, click on the Tools & Models menu at the top.
Scroll down to the Metals section and select Aluminium Smelter Costs Model. A file named launch.ica will be downloaded. Open this file to launch the model.
Note: This is a Citrix-based tool. You will need the Citrix application installed on your computer to launch it.
Allow the tool to fully load. Once the interface appears, click on the Reporting menu.
4. Make the required selections as shown in the screenshot and click Run.
5. A table with Capacity and Production values will appear.
To export, click the X button to view in Excel format and copy the data into your own Excel file.
If saving, ensure you save the file in a folder on your Local Disk. Files saved outside the Local Disk will remain in the Citrix environment and cannot be retrieved later.
