We rate each CCUS project with a likelihood index between 0-4 to provide an analysis of risked capacity. A CCUS project's nominal capacity is multiplied by a capacity multiplier based on the assigned likelihood index to generate a risked view of capacity for the project.

The ratings and associated capacity multipliers are as follows

Likelihood index

Definition

Capacity multiplier / %

0 - Unlikely

Projects that are in countries with no live CCUS policy or support

0

1 - Speculative

Projects typically in the prospect stage of development. Storage projects are yet to obtain relevant licenses/permits and do not have hub users

30

2 - Possible

Projects typically in early development. If storage, then a license has been awarded. Agreements between hubs and hub users are in place or progressing

50

3 - Probable

In FEED (advanced development). If a hub or hub user, agreements between emitter and storage site are known or progressing

70

4 - Operating or Under Construction

Operating or under construction (post-FID)
