🗺️ Conventional play geospatial file

Following positive feedback from our users on the release of conventional play outlines in Lens Upstream, we have now released the conventional play geospatial file in Lens Direct. This download is available for our Lens Subsurface subscribers with access to Lens Direct.

Current coverage includes several regions, including North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Western Africa, and Oceania. We will be expanding the coverage throughout this year.

Use the Export button to download the file in GeoDatabase (.gdb) or GeoPackage (.gpkg) format, for easy upload onto your GIS application of choice.

🎯 Subsurface cross-plot

Lens Subsurface has been enhanced with a cross-plot chart that allows comparison of three metrics at the same time. There are two options – Bubble and Scatter charts. Users can plot a variety of reservoir datasets on this chart - porosity, pressure, temperature and depth. The data can be viewed by country, region, basin and a range of other reservoir related factors. Click the Settings (cogwheel icon) to see the full configuration.

🎯 Well targets

Clients of Subsurface Discovery and Lens Direct can now assess the success of a well (or a company drilling wells) by viewing what a well's intended target was, and seeing if it was achieved.

The well target information is presented in the form of a targeted formation, geological age, or drilling depth. Match this information with well formation tops and well test data from nearby wells or the well itself.

The 'well_targets' table is available in Lens Direct.

🗺️📥 Basin and Play geospatial downloads

Also for clients of Subsurface Discovery and Lens Direct, the shapes for Basins and L48 Plays are now available as geospatial downloads: 'basin_geospatial' and 'play_geospatial'
